Some general feedback.

• Please change the distribution so that all souce code files are put into subdirectories. The toplevel should be clutter free with just the directories, some README and INSTALL instructions.
• The development could be hosted on something like common-lisp.net with a public mailing list with public accessible mailing list archives.

• Mouse sensitivity of presentations: in CLIM 2.1 usually the most specific presentation is mouse sensitive. Example: if you have a list (1 2 3) and the mouse cursor is over the 1, only the 1 is mouse sensitive and as what is has presented (typically as some number. McCLIM always makes some larger presentation (in this case the whole list) mouse sensitive. This should be changed.
• Redrawing of presentations: McCLIM redraws the whole presentation to often. Even if you move the mouse over some presentations, where the presentation needs to be highlighted and de-highlighted. This is ugly (the screen is blinking where you move the mouse, screen space is even erased and redrawn) and a waste of time.
• What about a Cairo backend?
